Essential oils are very beneficial in homemade hair care products and lots of of them are very good to treat scalp conditions for example tea tree oil for dandruff, rosemary to develop hair faster, lavender for dry scalp, and peppermint for itchy scalp and also to stimulate hair growth.
Rosemary Oil
Is yet another oil which doubles like a fragrant oil and an essential oil. The oil is derived from the rosemary plant and it is very useful for dandruff problems and flaky itchy scalp. Peppermint stimulates the hair follicles; as a result hair, can grow longer and stronger.
Jojoba Oil
Goes deep in to the hair follicle and loosens hardened debris that induce hair loss. Adds softness, shine and moisture for your hair. It’s a great moisturizing and healing natural oil for those hair types.
Olive Oil
Deeply conditions hair, improves strength and elasticity from the hair. Nourishes the scalp. Essential olive oil helps in preventing as well as curing hair thinning as it prevents the production of the hormone DHT which in turn causes the hair follicle shaft to lower.
Chamomile Oil
Chamomile may soothe the nerves and it does exactly the same for your hair and scalp, in fact it is probably the most soothing of the essential oils for that hair and scalp. Chamomile helps to retract skin cells which have been inflamed from chemical procedures, and harsh climate conditions and helps with itching scaly scalp and dandruff.
Peppermint Oil
Helps to stimulate blood circulation to the root of the hair. This will be relevant for hair as it helps your hair to receive proper nourishment. Therefore will lead to hair growth. That tingly feeling when peppermint oil is felt around the scalp is actually the stimulation of blood flow to hair.
